Santral Istanbul

Santral Istanbul has art exhibitions, workshops and Museum of Energy. So you should visit Santral Istanbul if you love arts.

It is located in Silahtarağa at the confluence of the Kağıthane and Alibeyköy rivers and the Golden Horn. Free shuttle buses run daily (except Sundays and public holidays) from outside the Atatürk Cultural Centre in Taksim Square to Santral Istanbul and back between 08:00-18:30 in each half an hour.

By Taksi, it costs nearly 18 TL from Sultanahmet, 14TL from Taksim.

By car from Beşiktaş or Taksim, taking the new Bomonti-Dolmabahçe and Piyalepaşa-Kağıthane road tunnels will cut journey time considerably. Santral Istanbul has on-site parking facilities with space for 600 vehicles.

Besides the free shuttle service, Santral Istanbul can be reached by public transport from Eminönü (36CE or 99 Buses), Taksim (37T). By bus, the nearest stops are Bilgi University and Silahtar.

Wizard Tip: After visiting Museum of Energy in Santral Istanbul, get some snacks and listen to music of the two different consept cafes.
